Welcome to Junior School

Building on the learning foundations started in Kindergarten, Junior School centers around improving literacy skills and solving mathematical problems while providing a wholesome student experience. Providing a multitude of community and expert driven co-curricular programs, InnovOak students encounter and explore the learning opportunities that are found in the world, enriching and improving on classroom learning. Implementing high yield curriculum strategies and improved educational standards, our Junior School students will develop confidence and mastery that will compound for future achievement.

Junior School will also introduce accessory learning skills that help to develop organization and a mind-set prepared to succeed. Including the use of planners, implementing a homework schedule, and establishing routines and practices for helping at home, students begin to form the habits for not only academic accomplishment but a positive well-rounded life experience.

Extracurricular Opportunities

InnovOak School is dedicated to providing our students with individualized extracurricular offerings. Catering to student enthusiasm, teachers are encouraged to instigate and convey student interest for the implementing of relevant extracurriculars.

Junior School is also the beginning of our LifeReady program in which students begin to learn necessary real world skills that are often over looked in traditional education; making healthy snacks, gardening, sewing, digital safety and literacy, etc. In addition to extracurricular programs, InnovOak School regularly celebrates student talent, and involves the entire InnovOak family in community and school events.

Starting With The Right Plan

At InnovOak School, guidance counseling begins early with recognition of our student's academic strengths and interest in fields of study. Guidance counselors meet regularly with students to encourage and develop skills and plans to lay the ground work for future success. Exploring passions and developing career specific skills, students begin to undertake the requirements for success academically and post-graduation.

Community-Driven Social Skills

A continuing experience for InnovOak students is the participation in the surrounding community. Students have access to a multitude of enrichment opportunities and take an active role in the development of social skills. Often working collaboratively, students learn and implement positive social skills while working together the achieve a common goal. This early establishment of social skills and teamwork is preparation for success in our robust Co-Op program.
